Saugatuck Michigan Attractions

The Hotel Saugatuck is nestled between the towns of Saugatuck and Douglas surrounded by sand dunes and the Kalamazoo River. You'll find a variety of outdoor activities, restaurants, boutique shops and art galleries. The area is known for its shoreline and beaches. The scenic beauty is breathtaking.

Beaches: Oval beach is rated #1 beach in the Midwest.

Biking the area: Numerous trails with varied lengths and many ideal for walking and running.

Crane’s Orchards: One of the finest u-pick orchards in Michigan. During the fall, get lost in a corn maze or enjoy a relaxing hayride around the farm. 

Fenn Valley Winery: Various tours and tastings are available to the public. Please check their schedule for events.

Golf: Nearby courses include - Clearbrook Golf Club, Ravines Golf Club, and HawksHead.

Harbor Duck: A transformed World War II Army amphibious vessel is now one big water taxi 31-feet long, and seating 28 people. Tours wind through downtown Saugatuck and across the bridge to Douglas and splashes into the waters of the Kalamazoo River and Saugatuck Harbor. 

Oxbow School of Art: Ox-Bow offers a wide range of opportunities for artists at all stages.

J. Petter Galleries: a unique 12,000 square foot fine art gallery building that first housed area artists in the 1930s, and now features an eclectic collection of fine paintings, sculpture, and glass. The galleries are also home to boutique wines and artful foods.

Star of Saugatuck: Set sail for a relaxing ride on the Kalamazoo River and Lake Michigan.

Saugatuck Dune Rides: A 40 minute adventure as you see local wildlife and learn about the lost town of Singapore.

Saugatuck Dunes State Park: Run, hike, disc golf, ski, or snow shoe through the trails.

Saugatuck Center for the Arts: Community art center showcasing a variety of exhibits.

Pumpernickel’s: Renowned for its fabulous lunch items, a tradition which continues year-round and now serves dinner in the Sunset Grille. 

Salt of the Earth: A 10 minute drive to nearby Fennville.  A farm to table eatery and featured on the Food Network.

Saugatuck Brewing Company: Diverse food menu, which features all homemade recipes and their own craft brew.

The Southerner: Tucked away on the banks of the Kalamazoo River in Saugatuck, Chef Matthew Millar has a menu inspired by Appalacia.

Wild Dog: Casual dining with a relaxing, unique atmosphere and unforgettable fare that everyone can enjoy.
